MR / CT / X-RAY (in a partner institution)
További információk
A CT (computed tomography) scan uses X-rays to produce thin slices of the area being examined. If the composition of a tissue changes (as a result of a pathological process), its ability to transmit or absorb radiation changes, and the change becomes visible on the image.
What can we examine with CT?
- Brain and skull
- Sinuses
- Eye sockets
- Pharynx Larynx
- Thyroid gland
- Lungs
- Chest
- Organs in the abdominal and pelvic regions
- Small and large intestines
- Cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine (entire spine)
- Limbs
MRI works with magnetic energy by generating a magnetic field, which causes energy changes in the body that are converted by a computer into a detailed, three-dimensional image. The resulting image is evaluated by a radiologist.
What can be examined with MRI?
- problems of the central nervous system (brain, spinal cord, pituitary gland, etc.)
- stroke
- cardiovascular system
- spine (cervical, thoracic or lumbar)
- sacrum (hip bone)
- joints (shoulder, elbow, hip, knee, ankle)
- chest
- abdominal soft tissue (muscles, blood vessels, fatty tissue, connective tissue)
- abdomen and pelvis
- breasts
- cervical soft tissue (thyroid gland, parathyroid glands, lymph nodes, salivary glands, blood vessels, muscles)
Cranial MRI
When is a cranial MRI recommended?
- vision problems
- headaches dizziness
- symptoms of multiple sclerosis
- circulatory disorders vascular stenosis
- degenerative brain diseases (e.g., Alzheimer's disease)
- metabolic disorders diabetes
- suspected aneurysm
- Meningitis
- After a head injury
- Epilepsy
- Tumors
Spinal MRI
When is a spinal MRI recommended?
- Back pain Suspected herniated disc
- Pain radiating to the limbs or neck
- Headaches Dizziness
- Symptoms suggestive of spinal canal stenosis
- Vertebral displacement
- Wear and tear or inflammatory changes in the vertebral joints (osteoarthritis/arthrosis)
- Vertebral collapse
- Lesions of the spinal cord and nerves or soft tissue injuries
- Suspected inflammation or infection
Abdominal and pelvic MRI
When is an abdominal and pelvic MRI necessary?
- Back pain Suspected herniated disc
- Pain radiating to the limbs or neck
- Headache Dizziness
- Symptoms suggestive of spinal canal stenosis
- Vertebral displacement
- Wear and tear or inflammatory changes in the vertebral joints (osteoarthritis/arthrosis)
- Vertebral collapse
- Lesions of the spinal cord and nerves or soft tissue injuries
- Suspected inflammation or infection
Cardiac MRI
Cardiac MRI is a special type of imaging that can produce moving images of the heart. When is this examination recommended?
- When examining the condition and movement of the heart muscle
- When examining the functioning of the heart valves
- In cases of circulatory disorders (ischemia) of the heart muscle
- When examining scars after a previous heart attack
- In cases of inflammation of the heart muscle (myocarditis)
- In cases of blood clots (thrombus) in the left ventricle
- When examining tumors
Chest MRI
When is a chest MRI recommended?
- To diagnose chest wall abnormalities
- To diagnose signs of cancer
- To map tumors affecting the esophagus
- To accurately diagnose cardiological condition
X-ray images are images taken in different directions using X-rays. Some of the X-rays directed at different parts of the body are absorbed by the organs, while others change direction and scatter as they pass through.
X-ray images reveal bone injuries and fractures. Images of the joints help in the diagnosis of degenerative changes. You can book an appointment for a digital X-ray with us, which is in line with the latest technology and involves less stress on the body.
The images are evaluated by a radiologist.
When is an X-ray examination recommended?
For chest X-rays:
- long-term cough
- pre-operative examination
- fitness for work examination
- screening
For bone and joint examinations:
- as a result of injuries
- in cases of long-term pain
- In cases of traumatic injuries:
- falls
- blows
- fractures
- to determine dislocation
Skull X-rays
- sinusitis
- in cases of traumatic lesions
Spinal X-rays
- to examine vertebral lesions.
- In cases of ear, nose, and throat problems
- inflammatory lesions of the sinuses
You can book an appointment for a CT, MRI, or X-ray examination by phone.
