About Me

Dr. Róbert König comes from a family of doctors — his mother, a pediatrician, neonatologist, and school physician, has always been a defining role model for him. He knew he wanted to be a doctor from the age of four, with a dream of becoming a surgeon one day. He completed his medical studies at the University of Szeged, where he also earned his paramedic diploma, and later obtained his pediatric surgery specialist qualification at Semmelweis University.

He worked in England for several years at various private hospitals, in both adult and pediatric care. He currently serves as an assistant professor in pediatric surgery at the North-Central Buda Center, New St. John’s Hospital.

Dr. König’s approach to pediatric care is family-centered. Known affectionately as “König Doki” (Dr. König), he has a remarkable ability to connect with children, and his child-friendly, warm consultation style makes him a favorite among his young patients. He firmly believes that alongside treating the illness, he must also attend to the emotional wellbeing of both the child and their family in order to ensure a complete and speedy recovery.
