Sclerotherapy – Injection Treatment
During sclerotherapy, the vascular surgeon punctures the enlarged varicose vein with a thin needle and injects a special solution that causes inflammation inside the vein. As a result, scarring of the vein wall begins, the vein walls “stick together,” and the treated vein section is usually absorbed by the body over time.
